Drug Uses - Bentyl is taken to relieve cramps or spasms of the stomach, intestines, and bladder.

How Taken - Take Bentyl only according to your doctor's prescription. Do not take another quantity of medicine. If you do not follow your prescription, you may increase the risk of side effects.

Warnings/Precautions - Before taking Bentyl, consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You should talk to your doctor before you stop taking Bentyl as you may need finishing of treating by reducing the dose. Sudden stop of taking Bentyl may be the reason of side effects, such as vomiting, sweating and dizziness.

Missed Dose - You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember and then follow your usual schedule. Nevertheless, if it is near to the time for your next dose, do not take an extra tablet to catch up for the dose you forgot. Wait and take your next tablet at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.

Possible Side Effects - During the treatment with Bentyl you may experience: confusion or memory loss, constipation, difficult urination, drowsiness, dryness of mouth, nose, throat, or skin, unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness or irritability.

Storage - Store Bentyl at controlled room temperature between 150- 300C (590 - 860F). It should be kept out of the reach of children.

Overdose - The typical signs of Bentyl overdosage are nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing. If any of these signs occurs, seek immediate medical attention.

More Information - Bentyl may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. You should avoid such activities if you experience drowsiness or dizziness.
