Drug Uses -
Condylox is used to treat genital warts. It is the first medicine of this class approved by FDA. Condylox starts treating genital warts immediately after being applied topically on them.
How Taken -
Apply Condylox two times a day for 3 days. Then do not use Condylox for 4 days. The treating should not last more than 4 weeks. Use no more than 10 cm of wart tissue and 0.5 ml of the solution per day. Follow your doctor's instruction.
Warnings/Precautions -
Consult with your doctor if you are allergic to medicines or take other drugs. In this case you may need special dosage or monitoring. It may also happen that you are not able to use Condylox. Condylox is in the FDA pregnancy category C. There is no reliable data whether Condylox is deleterious to an unborn baby. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or if you are breast-feeding a baby, as Condylox passes into breast milk. Use effective birth control.
Missed Dose -
You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Nevertheless, if it is near to the time for your next dose, do not take an extra tablet to catch up for the dose you forgot. Wait and take your next tablet at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects -
Stop taking Condylox and seek medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (shortness of breath; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, face, or tongue; or hives); or excessive burning, stinging, or pain or bleeding or swelling of treated skin. Continue taking Condylox and contact your doctor in case you experience mild to moderate itching, burning, pain, or inflammation at the treated site; unpleasant odor; or pain during intercourse. Other side effects may also occur.
Storage -
Store at room temperature away from moisture. Condylox should be kept out of the reach of children.
Overdose -
Seek medical attention if you experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, numbness and tingling, confusion, unconsciousness, seizures, and others.
More Information -
This product is for external use only. Condylox should be taken individually. You are not supposed to give Condylox to other people who need treating of genital warts. Consult with your doctor if you experience difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips, swelling of your tongue, swelling of your face, rash, an irregular heartbeat, or seizures.
