Drug Uses -
Esgic Plus is a pain reliever and a relaxant. Esgic Plus is used to treat tension headaches.
How Taken -
Take one or two capsules (tablets) every four hours. You may take maximum of six capsules (tablets) if the medicine contains 325 (500) mg of acetaminophen in each capsule (tablet). Take Esgic Plus exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dosage without medical consultation.
Warnings/Precautions -
You may have the risk to become dependent on Esgic Plus if the drug stops relieving the pain. Do not change the dosage. If you have more headaches while taking Esgic Plus or if you headaches continue everyday after the last dose have been taken, you are considered to be dependent on Esgic Plus. Stop taking Esgic Plus and consult with your doctor.
Missed Dose -
You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Nevertheless, if it is near to the time for your next dose, do not take an extra tablet to catch up for the dose you forgot. Wait and take your next tablet at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects -
Consult with your doctor as soon as possible if you suffer from bleeding or crusting sores on lips; chest pain; fever with or without chills; hive-like swellings (large) on eyelids, face, lips, and/or tongue; muscle cramps or pain; red, thickened, or scaly skin; shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing; skin rash, itching, or hives; sores, ulcers, or white spots in mouth (painful); sore throat; confusion (mild); mental depression; unusual excitement (mild).
Storage -
Store away from heat, moisture and direct light. Esgic Plus should be kept out of the reach of children.
Overdose -
Unconsciousness or possibly death may occur if Esgic Plus has been taken together with alcohol or CNS depressants or if there was an overdosage. Seek immediate medical attention.
More Information -
Esgic Plus may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. You should avoid such activities if you experience drowsiness or dizziness.
