Drug Uses -
Flextra DS is an analgesic and antipyretic. It is used to treat pain, headache, and fever, to relieve pain in some arthritic conditions. Your doctor may use Flextra DS to treat other conditions.
How Taken -
Flextra DS tablets should be taken every 4 hours. Your doctor will prescribe you the dosage according to your age, medical condition, and response to therapy. Do not change the dosage or the duration of the treatment (10 days for adults, 5 days for children, 3 days if used for fever) without medical consultation. If the pain of fever continues to bother you, consult with your doctor.
Warnings/Precautions -
Consult with your doctor if you experience: lung problems (e.g., bronchitis, emphysema), glaucoma, enlarged prostate or any allergies. Be careful when giving Flextra DS to children, as they are more sensitive to this medicine. Do not take Flextra DS without medical consultation if you are pregnant or if you are breast-feeding a baby, as Flextra DS passes into breast milk.
Missed Dose -
You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Nevertheless, if it is near to the time for your next dose, do not take an extra tablet to catch up for the dose you forgot. Wait and take your next tablet at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects -
You ay suffer from drowsiness or nausea. Contact your doctor as soon as possible after you have noticed skin redness, swelling, persistent fever, stomach pain, yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, unusual weakness. Other side effect may also occur.
Storage -
Store at room temperature 15 - 30 ?C (59 - 86 ?F) away from moisture and light.
Overdose -
Seek emergency if you experience difficulty breathing, extreme nervousness or restlessness, flushed skin, hallucination, racing or irregular heartbeat, seizure, shortness of breath, tiredness (extreme), unstable temperature, unusual muscle stiffness, vomiting (in combination with these other symptoms).
More Information -
Flextra DS may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. You should avoid such activities if you experience drowsiness or dizziness. You should not use other pain reliever without medical consultation. Do not take alcohol, as in combination with it Flextra DS. It may affect your liver.
