Drug Uses - Levitra is indicated to treat erectile dysfunction.

How Taken - Levitra is a tablet to be taken orally with or without food about 1 hour before sexual activity if necessary. Do not take more than one tablet of Levitra per day. You may need some sexual stimulation for an erection to occur when taking Levitra.

Warnings/Precautions - Consult with your doctor if you have ever had a heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeats, angina (chest pain), or congestive heart failure; high or low blood pressure; a rare heart condition known as prolongation of the QT interval (long QT syndrome); liver or kidney problems; blood problems, including sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia; a bleeding or blood clotting disorder; a stomach ulcer; a family history of degenerative eye disease (e.g., retinitis pigmentosa); or if you have a physical deformity of the penis such as Peyronie's disease. In this case you may need special dosage or monitoring. It may also happen that you are not able to use Levitra. Levitra is in the FDA pregnancy category B. It is not expected to be detrimental to an unborn baby. Women do not take Levitra. You have the risk of side effects if you are older than 65 years old. Your doctor will prescribe you a lower dose.

Missed Dose - Viagra is used when necessary. It is unlikely that you miss a dose.

Possible Side Effects - The most common side effects are: headaches, flushing, stuffy or runny nose. Levitra may also cause priapism (an erection that do not go away). In case you experience priapism, seek emergency as it must be treated immediately. If priapism is not treated at a necessary time, it may happen that you will be unable to have erections. Vision changes, such as seeing a blue tinge to objects or having difficulty differing blue and green colors may also happen. For more information consult with your doctor.

Storage - Store at room temperature 15-30°C (59-86°F). Levitra should be kept out of the reach of children.

Overdose - Seek emergency in case of overdose. Symptoms may include chest pain, back pain, dizziness, an irregular heartbeat, abnormal vision, and swelling of the ankles or legs.

More Information - Do not take Levitra without medical consultation if:
* You are taking any medicine that is in the class of "nitrates". Taking Levitra along with nitrates may cause serious side effects.
