Drug Uses -
Microzide is used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema.
How Taken -
You should take Microzide early in the day with milk or food to reduce the risk of belly-ache.
Warnings/Precautions -
It is necessary to tell your doctor if you have ever had diabetes, gout, allergy, urinary problems and liver problems.
Missed Dose -
In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as possible. But don't take extra dose in situation when you forget to take a tablet and it is near the time for the next intake. Wait and take next dose according to the schedule.
Possible Side Effects -
There are several side effects that may take place while taking Microzide: black, tarry feces, blood in urine or stools; cough and husky voice; high temperature and rigor; pain joints; back pain; difficulty or pain while urination; pinpoint red spots on skin; hives; skin eruption; belly-ache with vomiting and nausea; icteritiousness (yellow eyes or skin); unusual bleeding or bruising. In case you experience side effects, stop taking and consult with your doctor or local pharmacist.
Storage -
Store Microzide at indoor temperature below 86°F (30°C) in a tightly closed container and out of direct sunlight, heat and humidity. It should be kept out of the reach of children.
Overdose -
In case of overdose suspicion, seek emergency immediately. The typical symptoms of overdosage are unconsciousness, weakness, nausea/vomiting, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, dizziness, bradycardia (slow heartbeat), drowsiness, seizures, or fainting.

Be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities because Microzide administration may lead to dizziness or drowsiness or blurred vision. If any of these signs appears, try to avoid these activities.
