Drug Uses - Mircette is used for the prevention of pregnancy if you decide to use this product as a method of contraception.

How Taken - For the purpose of pregnancy prevention take Mircette with food or immediately after a meal. It helps to prevent stomach upset. Take it regularly. Next information may help you to remember the regularity. There are two packets of Mircette (21 and 28 tabletts). In case you have a 21-tablet packet, take one tablet once a day for 21 days and then wait 7 days (no tablets) before starting a new packet. In case you have a 28-tablet packet, take one tablet once a day for 28 days in the order specified in your packet. The last seven tablets in a 28-tablet packet are a different color. These tablets contain iron (ferrous fumarate) instead of ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel. They are used to permit daily dosing during the entire 28-day cycle. This way you do not have to count the number of days between cycles. You start a new 28-tablet packet the day after taking your previous 28-tablet. Follow the directions carefully. Look at your prescription label and find out when to take your first tablet (on the first or fifth day of your menstrual period, or on the first Sunday on or after bleeding begins). Follow the doctor prescriptions. Do not exceed or diminish the dosage of Mircette without your doctor advice. Do not give up taking this medication without medical consultation.
