Drug Uses - Protopic is used for the treatment of eczema that has been diagnosed by a doctor.

How Taken - A thin layer of Protopic is applied to all skin areas that your doctor has diagnosed as eczema.

Warnings/Precautions - While using Protopic try to avoid sunlight and sun lamps, tanning beds, and treatment with UVA or UVB light. If you want to go out, the treated areas should be covered with clothing. It is preferable to wear loose fitting clothing. Your doctor helps you to choose the proper type of protection.

Missed Dose - Apply Protopic as soon as you remember.

Possible Side Effects - There are several side effects of Protopic: stinging, soreness, a burning feeling, or itching of the skin treated with Protopic. They usually appear during the first few days of treatment. Degree of manifestation is ranged from mild to moderate and becomes less if your skin heals.

Storage - Protopic should be stored at indoor temperature (59?F to 86?F). Do not leave Protopic in your car in cold or hot weather. Be careful: the cap on the tube must be tightly closed. Protopic must be kept out of the reach of children.

Overdose - It is not likely to overdose this medication. In case an overdose is suspected, seek emergency.
