Drug Uses -
Ranitidine HCL is prescribed for the treatment of active duodenal ulcer or for maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcer.
How Taken -
Ranitidine HCL 150 mg tablets should be taken twice a day.
Ranitidine HCL 300 mg tablets should be taken once a day.
Take Ranitidine HCL before bedtime with a full glass of water.
Warnings/Precautions -
You should consult with your doctor before taking Ranitidine HCL if you are breast-feeding a baby, because it passes into breast milk. Do not give up taking Ranitidine HCL without medical consultation.
Missed Dose -
In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as possible. But don't take an extra dose in situation when you forget to take a tablet and it is near the time for the next intake. Wait and take the next dose according to the schedule.
Possible Side Effects -
There are several side effects of Ranitidine HCL using: constipation, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, abdominal discomfort/pain, headache.
Storage -
Ranitidine HCL should be stored at controlled indoor temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F) in a dry place, out of light. It must be kept out of the reach of children.
Overdose -
In case an overdose is suspected, seek emergency. Eliminate unabsorbed material from your gastrointestinal tract.
